A beloved bat dog's last appearance had the home crowd cheering like they'd just seen a home run.
13-year-old Layla the bat dog has been retrieving bats for the Clearwater Threshold baseball team for six years. But all good things come to an end and this was her final season.
The crowd, the teams, and the staff all love Layla. No one dared to pick up a bat while she was around. As she retrieved her last bat, the crowd went wild. The internet went wild too with the video going viral.

Layla's position wasn't empty for long. Her younger sister Lily stepped up to the plate! She's learning on the job but is more than excited to be there.
